In recent years the AONB has stimulated environmental, economic and social activity in the Blackdowns by administering grants to local projects.
The two funds which have been available were the Sustainable Development Fund and Leader+. These funds have helped a huge range of great ideas to get off the ground. Find out more about what local communities have achieved by following the links to each fund.
Local Action for Rural Communities
This is a fund which could follow on from Leader+. Like Leader+, it would help us to support local producers and improve the quality of life for people living here.
We have submitted a joint bid for this funding with East Devon AONB. We will know if this has been successful at the end of July.
